Miss. K's Summer Tutoring Sessions
Hello!
I’m Kelsey Benoit, or Miss K as my students call me. I’m a proud Haitian-American, born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, with a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Georgia State University and a Master’s in Journalism from Fordham University. I’m currently preparing to attend law school, but teaching continues to be my passion.
I’ve spent the last four years teaching students from elementary through high school, and this summer I’m offering private tutoring for elementary students focused on reading and math fluency. Reading and writing are my specialties, and I believe every child can succeed with the right support.
What sets me apart from other educators is my patience, care, and deep commitment to building real connections with both students and parents. I work closely with families to understand each child’s strengths and challenges, and I always lead with encouragement.
I’m also fluent in Haitian Creole, which allows me to better support Haitian students who are still learning English and math. Being able to communicate with both students and their parents in their native language makes a big difference in their comfort and progress.
I don’t just tutor — I uplift, inspire, and make sure every child knows they are capable, smart, and loved
